Charlotte Home Stagers Plan to Revamp Their Local USO During World Wide Staging Service Week®
The 30-plus members of Charlotte International Association of Home Staging Professionals® Regional Chapter will spend a week working to update seven public areas used by active and retired military and their families at the USO-NC Charlotte Airport Center. The project is an annual event highlighting community service through home staging.
Charlotte, NC, September 11, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Charlotte IAHSP® Regional Chapter members spent this year planning and organizing an update for the USO-NC Charlotte Airport Center lounge. The group of educated and trained Accredited Staging Professionals® (ASP®) and Accredited Staging Professional Masters® (ASPM®) have arranged for installation later this month of new flooring, wall painting, delivery of new furniture and accessories, and new children's items. Seven areas of the USO lounge will receive updates from the ASPs® and ASPMs® - the children's play area; the dining area; the TV lounge; the computer area; a video gaming area; a study area; and the library.
The ASP® and ASPM® home stagers plan to use their talent and skills to create a space that will be a peaceful and restful retreat where the military can comfortably eat, read, watch TV, enjoy computer games, relax, and nap. The project is part of World Wide Staging Service Week®, an annual fall event where IAHSP® chapter members give back to their community. The event was started by Barb Schwarz, The Creator of Home Staging® and founder of IAHSP® Foundation.
Members of Charlotte IAHSP® Regional Chapter WWSSW® Committee credited with carrying out this project are Virginia Youngblood, Chapter Ambassador and Committee Chair; Joan Inglis, Chapter President; Dez Gerald, Chapter PR Director; Jo Dockins, Chapter Secretary; Mary Beth Francisco, Chapter Treasurer; Karen Mendenhall, Past President; and chapter members Lisa Glass and Natalie Sanchez.
