DataSync Announces Participation in the Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider Program
DataSync is now authorized to provide direct billing, sell combined offers and services, as well as directly provision, manage and support Microsoft cloud offerings.
Sioux Falls, SD, September 14, 2015 --(PR.com)-- DataSync today announced that it is the region’s first software advisory and engineering firm to participate in the Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider Program. DataSync is now the first and only Cloud Solution Provider headquartered in South Dakota.
The Cloud Solution Provider Program is a new Microsoft initiative designed to strengthen customer relationships and expand cloud sales opportunities by enabling Microsoft Network Partners to provide direct billing, sell combined offers and services, as well as directly provision, manage and support products and services. Starting today DataSync owns the complete customer lifecycle, allowing it to easily sell and provision the entire line of Microsoft cloud services including Azure hosting services, Office 365, SQL Server and BI services, and Microsoft’s new Business Mobility solutions.
The effort to forge the new arrangement was led by Craig Anderson, DataSync’s Chairman and CEO. Anderson noted “The Cloud Solution Provider Program allows DataSync to deliver Microsoft’s leading suite of applications to our local market, nationally and globally as a part of our Customer Lifecycle approach to solving key customer software challenges. Microsoft’s leading Azure cloud platform allows us to deliver these powerful applications at an affordable price, giving our customer base a lower total cost of ownership and providing them with a key competitive advantage.”
“The Cloud Solution Provider Program puts our partners at the center of the customer relationship,” said Phil Sorgen, corporate vice president, Worldwide Partner Group at Microsoft Corp. “Through participation these partners have demonstrated dedication to helping our mutual customers successfully move to the cloud.”
“DataSync has been working to enable cloud development and applications since its formation in 2005,” Anderson continued. “Over the past three years, the technology has rapidly matured and today cloud based solutions are almost always superior to internal operations from both a technology management and cost standpoint.”
“The Microsoft Cloud Solutions Program allows us to migrate existing customer applications and data systems directly to the Microsoft Azure program, even for software that is not a direct Microsoft product or that runs on open source operating systems,” stated Mike Vetter, DataSync’s President and Chief Technology Officer. “In addition, DataSync will focus on marketing Microsoft solutions including recent integrated service extensions such as business communications (Skype for Business), collaboration (SharePoint and Yammer), and business intelligence (PowerBI and Excel 2016). By powering these applications with the Azure cloud platform, DataSync is able to deliver a full-stack integrated solution that solves key customer workflow challenges and provides groundbreaking cost and feature flexibility.”
Anderson added, “A final benefit to our customers is our ability to add cutting edge Business Intelligence (BI) solutions to existing legacy systems. Microsoft’s new BI suite allows DataSync customers to more deeply understand the costs, revenue, and process impact of their business decisions using real data from within their business. DataSync’s analytics experts now have the market-leading tools available to answer key customer business questions, and suggest ways to optimize customer business operations.”
DataSync’s Microsoft marketing efforts will begin with a Cloud Productivity seminar in Sioux Falls, SD on September 17, 2015. DataSync and Microsoft experts will be available to explain and demonstrate Microsoft’s Office 365 cloud productivity tools and to answer participant questions.
