DeSoto ISD Designates Texas Trust Credit Union as Community Partner of Excellence
Being involved in the community is part of Texas Trust's culture. And that philosophy is why Texas Trust continues to be recognized as a pillar in the communities it serves. The credit union's latest announcement is from DeSoto ISD, which honored Texas Trust with its Community Partner of Excellence award.
Arlington, TX, September 16, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Texas Trust Credit Union (http://www.TexasTrustCU.org) has received a Community Partner of Excellence award from the DeSoto Independent School District.
Texas Trust has worked alongside DeSoto ISD in several ways. The credit union has developed and delivered programs for financial literacy for students and parents and for developing career pathways for students interested in banking and finance. Texas Trust has also assisted the school district through financial donations, including funds raised through the DeSoto Spirit Debit Reward Card.
“Texas Trust Credit Union is one of those partners that has been a beacon of light for DeSoto ISD,” said Dr. David Harris, superintendent of schools. “DeSoto ISD values this partnership, which provides numerous resources to our students and the district."
For the 2015-16 school year, Texas Trust Credit Union has committed to continued support for DeSoto ISD, through financial literacy classes as well as funds generated from Fundraising Your Way and Spirit Debit Rewards.
Superintendent David Harris presented the award to Texas Trust's Alex Godina.
