John M. Phelan, MD, Joins MedAware Systems’ Scientific Advisory Board
Broomfield, CO, September 17, 2015 --(PR.com)-- MedAware Systems, Inc. is pleased to announce that Dr. John M. Phelan is joining the Company’s Scientific Advisory Board.
Dr. Phelan is the Chairman of the Cardiology Department at Dean Health System in Madison WI. He is the Director of St. Mary’s Hospital Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. Dr. Phelan has served in leadership roles at Dean for many years, including the Board of Directors. He is currently a Member of Dean Health System’s Finance Committee, Insurance Board Chair, Member of the Finance and Audit Committees, and Chair of Executive Evaluation & Compensation.
Prior to coming to Dean, Dr. Phelan served as the Director, Section of Cardiology, at Rush North Shore Medical Center in Skokie, IL. He also served as the Director of Interventional Cardiology at Rush and as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Rush Medical College in Chicago.
Dr. Phelan has authored or co-authored a number of publications in cardiology and has been a principal investigator or co-investigator in clinical research trials.
