Oshawa, OR, December 11, 2007 --(PR.com)-- What started off as a marketing tool has turned into a creative outlet for Canadian resident and business owner Mary Pamela Sargant. “The Puddle People series that I introduced with Mother's Survival Kit is a collection of stories I told my sister when we were very young, to get her to stop splashing in puddles and slowing us down” Sargant states. “Puddle People live in small villages in and around puddles and the one thing they love the most is a good story.”
The cartoons and craft ideas came to her first and were inspired by Sargant’s experiences with her own four children as they were growing up. Her mom, dad and aunts also motivated her as they told stories of her as a child. Sargant created all the artwork for the Puddle People – moved by books her mother read to her when she was young. She is an avid reader, learning at the age of four. Not only does she have a passion for reading and storytelling, but she’s also a gifted songwriter, singer and producer. “One of my most precious gifts and favorite past times is music, and I love to share that with children.” She wrote, performed and produced three of the songs found in the book.
