GRADD & NVBAA Kick Off "Free 3D Printing For Nevada's K-12" Program with Live Demonstration at the Reno Air Races
GRADD CO. (Global Robot And Drone Deployment) in partnership with NVBAA (Nevada Business Aviation Association) will be providing a live 3D printing demonstration from their booth in the "Drone Zone" at the Reno Air Races this week. They will produce over 500 miniature 3D-printed aircraft on-site for students to take home with them. The live demonstration marks the launch of NVBAA's "Free 3D Printing for Nevada's K-12" initiative.
Reno, NV, September 18, 2015 --(PR.com)-- GRADD CO. (Global Robot And Drone Deployment) in partnership with NVBAA (Nevada Business Aviation Association) announced today that they will provide a live demonstration of 3D printing to students and spectators of the Reno Air Races this week. This is an excellent opportunity for students, their parents, and teachers to observe the burgeoning 3D printing industry in action. The GRADD+NVBAA team will produce over 500 miniature 3D-printed jet aircraft at their booth in the "Drone Zone," for students to take home with them.
This live demonstration at the Reno Air Races marks the launch of NVBAA's "Free 3D Printing for Nevada's K-12" initiative. Supported by GRADD, NVBAA's goal is to provide free training and printed projects to all students and teachers of Nevada. In this program, students design their own 3D parts (on software provided for free) and send their completed files to NVBAA electronically. The parts are then printed on 3D printers housed at the GRADD offices in Las Vegas and shipped back, all free of charge to the students/teachers in Nevada. Additionally, the 3D printers all have live-streaming cameras attached, which provide the opportunity for students and teachers to witness their computer-aided design (CAD) files come to life in real-time.
This program provides Nevada's K-12 students the opportunity to reap the benefits of learning how to design 3D parts, and obtain 3D printed objects, without the costs associated with buying/maintaining a 3D printer, resin/filament, or the design software.
