NOMA - North on Market - Grand Opening of Fredericks newest gallery located at 437 N. Market Street, Frederick, MD.
Frederick, MD, September 20, 2015 --(PR.com)-- NOMA - North on Market is Historic Downtown Frederick, Maryland's newest gallery. Located at the corner of 5th and Market Street: 437 N. Market St., Frederick, MD. Founder Jeanean Songco Martin, saw an opportunity. The previous art center was closing and the gallery front would be left empty. Jeanean had an inspirational moment, invite some of her favorite artists to join her in the operation of a new gallery. Many e-mails, text messages and phone calls later, 22 artists came together to form NOMA gallery.
The artists represented by NOMA are award winning professionals working in contemporary and traditional art forms. These artists live in the Mid-Atlantic region and as far away as Arizona. Each month the art work changes, the month of October will be a group show to celebrate the Grand Opening of the gallery, Saturday, October 3rd, 2015 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM.
Some of the artists represented by NOMA are Toby Mendez sculpture, Jeanean Songco Martin plein air painter, Linda Harrison-Parsons nature and wildlife painter, Andrea McCluskey printmaker, Teke Hoffman B&W photography, Linda Van Hart jewelry along with mixed media artists, pottery and fiber artists. Each month the artists will feature a solo, duo or group exhibit. These monthly exhibit coordinate with Downtown Frederick's First Saturday Art Walks. The first Saturday of each month the local galleries, shops and restaurants are open late for all to visit.
The mission of NOMA gallery is to promote excellance in the visual arts. Artists talk, changing exhibition, workshops and lectures will be posted on their website and can be found on the Facebook page.
