“The Consumer Finance Protection Bureau (CFPB) has a series of new rules for homebuyers and sellers, beginning this fall,” said LHMG President Jill Rekuc. “We share information about regulation changes like this as part of our ongoing education among our membership. She briefed members on the rules, and indicated that while they were new regulations, they were unlikely to cause closing delays. The members discussed how important it is to have a close relationship with their staff and closing attorneys to ensure a smooth closing process.
