Central Defense Security Celebrates Top Ranking and 10 Years of Growth
Memphis, TN, September 23, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Central Defense Security (CDS), a leading provider of business, retail and warehouse security, celebrated its 10-year anniversary on July 3. Since the company’s founding in 2005 in Memphis, it has opened four additional branches in three different states. These branches include North Little Rock, Arkansas; Nashville, Tennessee; Lubbock, Texas; and Plainfield, Indiana. CDS was also listed as the number one security guard firm in Memphis this year, based on total employees.

The Memphis office employs 1,525 people and serves a variety of industries, including hospitals, arenas, warehouses, hotels, retail lots, churches, office buildings, schools, industrial complexes and more. After a full year of operations in Memphis, CDS opened a branch in North Little Rock in September 2006. This branch now has 103 employees, serving clients in the hotel, medical, banking, retail shopping, food service and corporate industries.
In July 2008, CDS stayed in-state and expanded east to Nashville. This branch has more than 70 guards who work at retail, warehouse, hotel and school posts around the city. For the next four years, CDS focused on expanding its client base at the existing sites before adding more branches.
The firm found several opportunities in Texas and opened its fourth branch in Lubbock in August 2012. Amarillo, Arlington and Austin are included regions for this branch. In total, CDS employs 180 people in Texas and protects retail, hospitality and construction companies.
The latest expansion took place further north in Plainfield, Indiana, in July 2014. This branch has 30 officers working for a third-party logistics provider.
In addition to geographic expansion, CDS has grown in services and operations as well. In 2013, the Memphis branch added a Staffing Division, which underwent office growth earlier this year and is hiring new, full-time employees every day.
After a successful decade of security and staffing services, CDS is looking ahead to the next 10 years of growth. Plans are currently in the works to increase its presence in Texas and the Mid-South.
