Face-Lift for the Delmarva Shorebirds
The Delmarva Shorebirds of the MiLB are getting a renovated field constructed by Sports Contracting Group, LLC.
Salisbury, MD, September 24, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Field renovation has begun at the Arthur W. Perdue Stadium in Wicomico County, Maryland. The Shorebirds are getting a brand new natural turf baseball field constructed by SCGfields, LLC. The field renovation is being performed in conjunction with several other park improvements.
The Arthur W. Perdue Stadium is underway with a complete renovation of the playing field. Field construction will include installation of new drainage and irrigation systems, new infield, a new USGA profile growing medium comprised of a gravel drainage layer and rootzone sand under a sand-based sod. Work will also include the bullpens and new warning track. The field is projected to be finished at the end of October 2015.
SCGfields, a sponsor of the MiLB winter trade meetings, recently completed MiLB projects for the Southwest University Park for the El Paso Chihuahuas and Coca-Cola Field for the Buffalo Bisons. “It is always an honor to construct playing fields for both MLB and MiLB teams and then seeing the finished results in action.
