The Wright Club is the first North Carolina-centered monthly subscription service, featuring product samples, merchandise, full products, coupons and more. Subscribers are diverse, ranging from residents to people who have fond memories from visiting the state or individuals who’ve moved away and want to keep part of North Carolina close by.
“I’ve traveled the country, and lived outside the state for a while. As many of my friends have also moved away, I’ve found one common theme: they hold onto as much North Carolina as possible and jump at the chance to come back and visit, smuggling Krispy Kreme, Cheerwine and Bojangles back with them,” Kevin King, creator of The Wright Club said.
“This got me thinking -- why not send some North Carolina nationwide?” he added.
Individuals who pre-ordered The Wright Club’s first box were sent a quiz to help tailor the box to their specific interests. Personal preferences guide subscriptions, with questions including, “Do you prefer the mountains or the coast? Do you prefer craft beer, wine or non-alcoholic beverages? Do you enjoy the great outdoors, or crafts indoors?”
Subscribers then receive a box of NC-only products and discounts, and can continue with the service with options including paying, month-to-month, being auto-billed on the first of each month, or prepaying for an entire year.
