CommLab India Achieves 98% E-learning Completion Rate for a Pharma Major
CommLab's 350 e-learning courses have clocked 98% completion rate from more than 1000 Marketing & Sales staff of a pharmaceutical major.
Hyderabad, India, October 01, 2015 --(PR.com)-- It is with immense satisfaction that CommLab India announces a hard-to-beat accomplishment in the e-learning field. In two months of their launch, CommLab's e-learning courses, numbering more than 350, have managed to clock an astonishing 98% completion rate from more than 1000 Marketing & Sales staff of a pharmaceutical major, ranked among the top 10 in the Indian Pharmaceutical market.
The pharma major approached CommLab India last September with a formidably challenging requirement - to replace their 3-month classroom training for fresh Marketing & Sales staff, with e-learning. This e-learning suite should also serve as a source for continual refresher training. The subjects were specialized and coverage vast – human anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, diseases, and their treatment and so on. The stakeholder's mandate was clear - design the courses to ensure high completion rates, leading to a high ROI and demonstrable increase in the target learners' knowledge and skill.
After a thorough training needs analysis and study of their existing training material and methodology, CommLab came up with a multi-pronged design, development and deployment strategy. The project flagged off with a workshop on CommLab's instructional design and project management process for the client's 18 training managers who were the subject matter experts (SMEs). This brought both teams on the same platform resulting in seamless interaction between the teams. The manager in charge of the project shared, "We have also placed a full-time medical doctor in the team as an internal SME to get the courses past the stringent client's medical & regulatory approvals."
The output comprised:
- 350 'byte-sized' learning nuggets, each 10-20 minutes long
- Application/ scenario based instructional design
- Rich graphics and animations
- Audio narration support
- Multi-device (smart phone, tablet and PC) delivery
When the courses were launched in June-July 2015, the response was nothing short of astonishing. The learners found the courses perfectly aligned with their training needs, designed and structured in a digestible manner and offered the luxury of accessing them on whatever device they had. In an industry where the greatest malady is high dropout rate, the client has achieved 98% completion rate.
RK Prasad, CEO of CommLab India, said that this project was one of the most satisfying assignments that the company has ever executed in its 15 years tenure. He attributed the success not only to the highly skilled and dedicated staff at CommLab but also to the vision, dedication and cooperation of the client, especially its training managers who were also SMEs for the courses.
