First Service Credit Union Offers Highest CD Rates in the U.S.
According to Deposit Accounts, First Service Credit Union of Houston, is offering the best rates for a 12 and 18-month CD.

For a 12-month CD, First Service CU is paying an interest rate of 1.35 percent. On an 18-month CD, the rate is 1.55 percent.
For the 12-month CD, the nearest competitor is a credit union in Idaho, at 1.30 percent. And for the 18-month, the next best rate is 1.51 percent, from a New York-based credit union.
Existing and new members can open a CD for a minimum of $1,000 as part of First Service CU's "Highest in the Land" promotion (https://www.fscu.com/best-rates). First Service CU will offer the rate for a limited time, but hasn't set a cutoff date yet.
