Kamal Chopra Elected Vice President (North) AIFMP

Ludhiana, India, October 05, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Kamal Chopra, a well known name in the "People-in-Print" in India was recently elected as the Vice-President (North) of the All India Federation of Master Printers (AIFMP). The elections were held during the Annual General Body meeting of AIFMP at Chennai on 27th September, 2015. Mr. Chopra defeated his nearest rival by a huge margin of more than 80 percent.

Representing more than 250,000 printers, AIFMP is also the largest printers association of the world. AIFMP draws its strength from more than 68 affiliate association spread around the country. Since its inception in the year 1953, the AIFMP has done sterling work to increase the prestige and influence of the printing industry and help it render better and more useful service to the public. It is recognised by the Government of India as the one and only apex body of Indian Printers.

Mr. Kamal Chopra also remained the HGS, Chairman International Relations, Chairman Industrial Relations, Chairman AIPD and Chairman Membership Development of this coveted organization. General Secretary of the North India Printers Association (NIPA), Mr. Chopra is a renowned name in the printing industry, due to his networking skills he is a popular figure not only within the country but overseas also. Besides being the General Secretary of Offset Printers’ Association, Mr. Chopra is also the Member of the Academic Council of the G J University of Science & Technology and the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Chopra said, "Printing is the basic industry and is the biggest invention of mankind till date, but it is seen that no recognition is given to this key industry by the Government of India. There is no department or ministry for Printing in India, I would like to work for the proper identification of this industry in government, private and social circles."
