Fan Fiction is the culmination of one DJ’s lifetime journey through club music. As a nightclub DJ, with over fifteen years experience playing in discos across the globe, DJ Vibe is finally settling into his role as producer, a lifelong dream turned reality. It’s a position that suits him well, and is leading to the production of an eclectic mixture of dance tracks ranging from big room smashes to underground tech grooves. All of his music resonates with club audiences, despite his use of melodic tones and complex textures, usually reserved for smaller niche genres. By wearing his roots on his sleeve, Fan Fiction is connecting with new audiences and gaining an impressive following along the way.

Before moving into the studio full time, Vibe played a wide range of musical styles, from Hip Hop and House to Rock and Reggae, a process that helped to form the foundation of his musical roots. In addition to his clubbing background, he is also a classically trained musician and holds a Masters in Music from New York University. The diversity of his musical background remains evident in the music he produces today. His infectious beats mixed with big synth basses and chopped vocal samples are blended to create a gritty, yet funky sound. Although much of his music maintains a crossover appeal, at its heart it remains true to the underground. While his style can fluctuate from underground grooves to larger big room dance tracks, his commitment to his musical roots remains clear, as seen through his interjections of samples and rhythms from his youth.
