Record-Setting Attendance at Corporate Wellness Conference - Wearable Technology Trends and 100 Healthiest Employer Awards Top Draw
Palm Beach Gardens, FL, October 09, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Corporate Health & Wellness Association, the world’s independent resource for corporate wellness education and industry coverage, scored record-setting attendance at its annual Corporate Wellness Conference® held in Orlando, Florida, up almost 40% from 2014.
Spearheading the increase of the nearly 3,000 participants who attended were premiere keynote speakers Olympic Gold Medalist ice skater Scott Hamilton, three-time international bestselling author David Meerman Scott and InMovement’s business leader Gary Hirschel. More than 50 in-depth roundtable discussions, sessions and case studies lead by 200 engaging and educational speakers revealed key findings and unique strategies on how to better serve employees in the workplace with improved wellness initiatives.
“The record number of participants, speakers and exhibitors at this year’s conference reflects the need of employers within this $6 billion industry on how they are truly seeking innovations in program design, total well-being strategies and successful wellness communication tools,” explained Jonathan Edelheit, Editor-in-Chief, Corporate Wellness Magazine and Director of Corporate Health & Wellness Association. “We are beyond pleased with the attendance and testimonials we have received and look forward to providing even more educational opportunities at next year’s annual conference.”
Wearable device integration in wellness programs and best practices in capturing data were important topics at two prominent conference sessions: Wristy Business: Ask the Experts Panel and Wearable Think Tank Roundtable Discussion. Attendees sought solutions on how to best use wearable devices in their workplaces and make sound decisions based on captured data.
This year’s Corporate Wellness Conference® also hosted the 100 Healthiest Employer Awards by Healthiest Employer, a leader in employer health analytics. Riverside Healthcare Center of Kankakee, Illinois, took top honors as the “Healthiest Workplace in America.” The other top ten finalists include Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority, Methodist Health System, Terumo BCT, Indiana University Health, Cerner Corporation, Decatur County Memorial Hospital, The Tomayko Group, LLC., Burr & Forman, LLP, and Baylor Health Care System.
Through advanced education and practical case studies, the CHWA, its magazine, Corporate Wellness Magazine, and annual Corporate Wellness Conference offers members, conference attendees and readers leading information presented by the world’s top healthcare and insurance experts. CHWA members receive opportunities for certification including Certified Corporate Wellness Specialist® (CCWS), Certified Corporate Fitness Professional® (CCFP), and the Certified Corporate Nutrition Professional® (CCNP) Certification Programs.
