Random Threadz, a Unique Quilt Design Company, Launches New Website
Random Threadz offers a unique line of custom designed quilt patterns by Sheryl Mycroft. These stunning quilt patterns are displayed here in brilliant colored hand crafted batik fabrics which are available in kits from Random Threadz. The line of designs and products continues to grow to meet the needs of beginning and advanced quilters.
Kalispell, MT, February 12, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Random Threadz Company www.randomthreadz.com founder Sheryl Mycroft started sewing at a young age and began quilting while expecting her first child. The passion for creating and designing Soft Sculptures and Art in Fabric quickly brought requests and orders for her finished creations. But it was while working at a local quilt shop that Sheryl discovered the beautiful hand painted batik fabrics that began her journey into quilt designing.
Many customers from the quilt shop expressed their admiration for the extraordinary fabrics but were apprehensive in making a purchase not knowing where to begin. Sheryl put her creativity to work and developed her first design for Bold Over Batiks using one of their 2 ½ yard batik fabric panels. The pattern was such a success that Sheryl went on to develop more designs using the spectacular batik fabrics.
Sheryl has designed many paper foundation pieced quilts and fusible web appliqué projects for some of the top pattern companies in both the domestic and international markets. In 2004 Random Threadz was formed to publish and make her designs available for quilters to enjoy making, but it wasn’t until now that her patterns were all available in one place
Many of the quilts you’ll see at RandomThreadz.com are created in the lively brilliant colors of hand painted batik fabrics from Bold Over Batiks who specialize in extraordinary batik fabric from Malaysia. The attention to detail and color combination in each quilt design adds a different dimension to these amazing fabrics. Quilts like: Wing Dance, Autumn Breeze, and Dragonflies, are a joy for the eye to behold and fun for the quilter to make. The batik fabrics used in the designs are included in the kits, and each quilt will be uniquely different although similar to the original design because the fabrics are individually hand painted.
With the launching of the Random Threadz website, there will now be an outlet where all of the Sheryl’s favorite patterns featuring the vibrant colors of batik fabrics as well as designs using the Japanese Diawabo fabrics in more subdued shades of Taupe are made available. More designs are in the works that will feature silk fabrics from Vietnam and hand marbled fabrics from U.S. Artists.
Sheryl designs quilts and other fun stuff continuously and will add her newest designs as they become available. Sheryl’s goal is always to design "Quilts You'll Love to Make".
