Launch of New Travel and Lifestyle Portal noovee.com
noovee media GmbH announces the launch of noovee.com - my metropolitan guide, a new travel and lifestyle portal aimed at trend-conscious city travellers.
Berlin, Germany, December 14, 2007 --(PR.com)-- noovee.com – my metropolitan guide is a brand new international travel and lifestyle portal designed for modern city travellers looking for style and originality.
Unlike most other user based websites, noovee.com features updates from local scouts on the latest trends in their home cities. The site features not only hotels, restaurants, cafés, bars and clubs, but also individual sites of interest in each city such as small boutiques, children’s playgrounds, art galleries, picturesque parks, historic streets of houses and architectural sites of interest.
Starting with Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin, Chicago and New York, noovee.com will be developed into an expansive international source of information for trend conscious city travellers.
The Berlin based company was founded by Daniela Terberl and her partner Arndt Apitz. “Having two small children means we don’t get much time together as a couple, but from time to time we have a weekend away in the city to recharge our batteries. We were looking for something different but fun on a small budget, and we had to trawl through hundreds of websites looking for individual tips,” says Daniela Terberl, managing director of noovee and mother of 6-year-old Zoe and 17-month-old Nick. “After a while we decided to create noovee, because looking for original travel destinations shouldn’t have to be so difficult.” With the help of consultant Uwe Riediger and web designer Tom Hulan, the duo hope to be able to showcase most of Europe’s major cities and become a focal point for modern city travellers by the middle of next year.
noovee.com’s recommendations are split into eight different categories, meaning that there’s something suitable for everyone. Whether glamour, deluxe, business, cheap and chic, design or romance, each location in every category has been chosen for its design, style and individuality. Would-be travellers are also offered the chance to bypass all the usual tourist attractions and get to know the city through the eyes of its residents. The scouts are constantly updating ‘their’ destinations, creating a lively and up to date image of their home city.
As well as all the latest city information, noovee.com will soon begin showing short video clips of interesting personalities from the featured cities’ art and culture scenes. Informative short videos about local hotels, bars, restaurants and city culture are already an important feature of noovee.com. Furthermore all visitors to the site have the chance to sign up to the noovee community, where they can upload their own videos and share travel tips and experiences with other members.
