The Gonzales Team Joins Forces with the Veterans Association of Real Estate Professionals to Support Local Veterans

The Veterans Association of Real Estate Professionals(VAREP) is an non-profit organization that supports the needs of military and veteran families. Veterans Association of Real Estate Professionals is dedicated to increasing sustainable homeownership, financial literacy education, and economic opportunity for the active military and veteran communities.

The local Nevada chapter of Veterans Association of Real Estate Professionals is led by a board of eight volunteers within the real estate, lending and housing industries. The purpose of the local chapter is to host REALTOR® and lender veteran educational seminars, host live military and veteran certification classes for REALTORS® and lenders, host Veterans housing summit community events, host fundraisers to benefit local military and veteran families, and help qualified local military families with housing needs.

The local Nevada chapter of Veterans Association of Real Estate Professionals is very active in their support of the local military and veteran families. The Nevada chapter of VAREP came together in 2014 and since has given away a mortgage free home to a Vietnam Veteran, volunteered with Rebuilding Together to make repairs on veterans homes, and held charity events raising monies to give support to veterans with mortgage payments just to name a few.

With the support of the Gonzales Team, the Veterans Association of Real Estate professionals were able to provide financial literacy education and advocate homeownership to over 100 active military and veterans at the housing summit. The housing summit featured speakers such as Rudy Ruettiger (from the movie Rudy), Richard Lee-economist, Richmond American Homes, Congressman Hardy, Allstate Insurance, Rebuilding Together, Fidelity National Title, Freedom Mortgage, Wells Fargo, and a Veterans Association (VA) home buying process panel. Each speaker discussed programs available to Veterans and active Military to aid in purchasing a home or aspects of owning a home.

Now, in an effort to raise more money and awareness for Veterans Association of Real Estate Professionals(VAREP), the Gonzales Team has pledged to give a donation to VAREP at each closing on the client’s behalf. The Gonzales Team and VAREP are thrilled to be able to raise awareness of the plight of Veterans and active Military. The Gonzales Team’s owner, Ernie and Leah Gonzales frequently give to charity and have been recognized through various Keller Williams awards.

The Gonzales Team loves joining with VAREP and their efforts to support Veterans and Military families. This joining of forces with VAREP gives the Gonzales Team a huge opportunity to give back to the great community that they serve.

Several VAREP events are located in Henderson. Henderson is a suburb located in the South Eastern part of Las Vegas. This community has seen many changes through the years, from a military base to a great upscale master planned community. The Gonzales Team is a team of Green Valley real estate specialists who are also thrilled to be able to help Veterans, Military families and VAREP.

Today the local Nevada chapter of the Veterans Association of Real Estate Professionals has raised over $150,000 for Veterans and Military families. The Gonzales Team is hoping to be able to help the Veterans Association of Real Estate professionals raise much more money for Veterans. Donating on behalf of clients is just one way the Gonzales Team is planning on helping VAREP.
