Fredericksburg, VA, October 22, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Just beyond the entrance of a vacant store front on Main Street, terror greeted all who were brave enough to enter. DinoTyme Productions, Inc. partnered with the Caroline Community Theater and collectively they gathered their morbidly talented staff to create, build and man Dead Whispers, the first Haunted Attraction to be featured at the 26th Annual Bowling Green Harvest Festival. All proceeds from Dead Whispers were generously donated to the new and upcoming Institute for the Performing Arts.

Upon entering guests were ushered in to a Victorian parlor where they were received by three talking pumpkins. Their next steps brought them into the bowels of terror. In the dark, embraced by a swirling mist, the brave traversed through a series of haunted hallways, complete with disorientating laser lights and spooky sounds, only to be scared by actors discretely waiting in the shadows for their next group of victims. The guests thought they were safe when a scene of a sweet grandmother baking cookies beckoned them to follow her only to be introduced to Killian, the resident skeleton lounging on a chair. The next room contained every child’s worse nightmare, a children’s nursery where the zombie like dolls were gesturing the living to play with them. Finally, the only obstacle that separated the guests from the brightly lit Exit sign was a zombie containment area.

“We travelled from New York to visit friends in Virginia after seeing an advertisement online for Dead Whispers,” said Kelly Langille from Oceanside, New York. Her husband James continued, “We have been to a lot of haunted attractions throughout the east coast and Dead Whispers is by far one of the best and scariest.”

Bill Carroll, founder and CEO of both DinoTyme Productions and the IPA said with a laugh “Bringing Dead Whispers to life and watching the reactions of our guests when they came upon the unexpected was an amusement that our staff highly enjoyed. As the Director of Audiovisual Effects I had the challenge of marrying the scenes to the technology that was used inside the haunt’s walls. Based on what the guests said upon leaving, this marriage was a success.”

When asked about the future of Dead Whispers, Bill stated, “Next year we plan on building a bigger and more terrifying haunted attraction that will be open for scares the entire month of October. Haunted Attractions is something that we do very part time in our entertainment careers but this time we’re going to push our talents into high gear and eventually create a ‘year-round’ haunted attraction somewhere in Central Virginia. This has always been a dream of mine and my incredible team and what better place than being in one of the most known states for such haunted history. We’re very excited and have already started planning for next years scare.”
