Denver Business Owner Honored with MAME's Industry Legend Award
Doris Pearlman started her company, Possibilities for Design, more than 30 years ago and is a national leaders in interior design and model home merchandising.
Denver, CO, October 22, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Doris Pearlman, President of Possibilities for Design, Inc., received the Industry Legend Award at the 2015 MAME (Marketing and Merchandising Excellence) Awards earlier this month. The award, given annually by the Denver Sales & Marketing Council and Home Builders Association (HBA) of Metro Denver, honors design, sales and marketing professionals whose participation in the home building industry has contributed significantly to the success of builders through innovation, leadership and performance excellence.
Pearlman founded the company over 30 years ago to bring her trend-setting concepts to a marketplace eager for innovation, and is now a national leader in interior design and model home merchandising. Her initial exposure to design was early in life through her father who was a director and designer for one of the largest textile manufacturers in the world. Pearlman initially pursued a career in education, but later followed her dreams and returned to her design roots.
Today, Pearlman hones her design sense by traveling throughout the world to discover new perspectives and different ways of living. Finding inspiration in both the exotic and the day-to-day has contributed to her ability to bring design trends to the world of new home building.
In addition to her education background, Pearlman received a Master in Residential Marketing (MIRM) and is a contributor and instructor to the MIRM education curriculum. She also received the Trina Ripley Excellence in Education Award from the Institute of Residential Marketing (IRM). Her articles on interior design, merchandising and marketing have appeared in many of the industry's top-tier publications.
Pearlman is currently on the Board of Directors for HomeAid Colorado, a member of the International Interior Design Association (IFDA), and has served on multiple boards at NAHB. She has been the chair of “The Nationals Awards” and is a sought-after judge for industry competitions, as well as an in-demand speaker at design and homebuilding conferences across the nation.
“Today, Doris’ passion for all design and her unending search for the newest trends has led to endless ‘possibilities for design’ with new home builders and developers across the country,” says Jeff Whiton, CEO & Executive Vice President of the HBA of Metro Denver. “Her industry service, friendships and accolades run deep, and make her very deserving of this award.”
“I’m honored to receive this special award from my peers,” says Pearlman. “I also am grateful for the many wonderful clients who have allowed me to use my creativity to help them in their business.”
