Career Step Announces Winner of August 2015 Moms in School Scholarship and Approaching Scholarship Deadlines
Career Step is proud to announce that the winner of its August 2015 Moms in School scholarship is Misty Klaiber who is enrolled in the Professional Medical Coding and Billing program.
Provo, UT, October 23, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Career Step, an online provider of career-focused education and corporate training, is proud to announce that the winner of its August 2015 Moms in School scholarship is Misty Klaiber. The scholarship awards Ms. Klaiber $2,000, which she has put toward tuition for the Career Step Professional Medical Coding and Billing program.
“I am so honored to receive the Career Step Moms in School Scholarship,” said Ms. Klaiber. “This scholarship allows me to concentrate on what is important to me—education. Career Step’s financial generosity has moved me one step closer to my goals of advancing my career and having the opportunity to spend more time with my kids.”
Ms. Klaiber was selected through a lengthy review process from among numerous applicants. She has been a medical biller for more than eight years and is excited to expand her knowledge and opportunities within the healthcare industry. She began the Professional Medical Coding and Billing program in August 2015 with the aim of gaining the education needed to work as a medical coder from home, giving her more time to spend with her two children.
While working as a medical biller, Ms. Klaiber learned about opportunities afforded to medical coders that were more conducive to her long-term goals of expanding her career options and spending more time with her family. Choosing the Career Step Professional Medical Coding and Billing program was the first step on her journey to achieve those goals. The program can also be completed entirely online, which provides the flexibility she needs to manage her work and family responsibilities. In addition, the program can be completed in less than a year.
“One of the most rewarding things about being a part of Career Step is seeing how it changes the lives of individuals and their families in a significant way,” said Steve Tober, President and CEO of Career Step. “This scholarship program allows us to help more people obtain a quality, career-focused education. We are honored to have Misty as one of our Moms in School Scholarship recipients and wish her the very best as she begins her journey.”
Career Step established its scholarship for mothers returning to school as a way to expand its support of those seeking to improve their lives through education. The application deadline for Career Step’s third and final 2015 scholarship for mothers who are returning to school is December 31, 2015. Applicants for this third scholarship should submit a one- to three-minute video on “Back to School from a Mom’s Perspective.” Career Step will select the top three finalists, and the scholarship winner will then be chosen by popular vote.
Career Step also offers a number of other scholarship awards, including one for graduating high school seniors and an award specifically for military service members and their dependents. The application deadlines for both of these scholarships is October 31, 2015. More information is available and applications can be submitted at CareerStep.com/scholarships.
