Kartograff Poised to Reinvent Adventure Travel

Just launched: world’s first O2O (online-to-offline) adventure travel platform allows contestants to compete online in a community-driven game that includes real world adventures & unique experiences around the globe as prizes.

San Francisco, CA, October 27, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Kartograff is looking to open doors for would-be adventurers and explorers by capitalising on the high quality media made possible by modern smartphones, and the average American’s ability to produce marketable stories in a digital medium. The platform is driven by a subtle game of skill as follows:

1. Unique adventures and experiences are curated and hosted on kartograff.com.

2. Interested contestants sign up for adventure contests by uploading their pitch. Pitches are compelling stories, similar to blog posts, with the intent on proving to the world that they deserve to win the adventure or experience in question.

3. During the contest period pitches are scrutinized and commented upon, with the winning contestant determined by upvotes, downvotes and commentary.

4. The winning contestant enjoys their adventure and documents the experience via video, photography and writing. The resultant documentary, categorized as “Indie Reality Media” is then hosted on kartograff.com

Kartograff’s game engine was inspired by Reddit, a tier-1 platform with 7.86 billion monthly pageviews. By using a common game engine Kartograff effectively lowers the barrier-to-entry for would-be contestants. Other inspirations include VICE, Atlas Obscura, and the early films of Werner Herzog.

Kartograff is made for a global market and managed from both Toronto and Tokyo. For further information, questions or interviews, please contact Mr. Christian Forestell, Founder & Creative Director.
