Jeff Slivka Named President at New Day Underwriting Managers
Hamilton, NJ, November 02, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Jeff Slivka has been named president of New Day Underwriting Managers, a company he helped launch in 2005 and has since grown into an award-winning, specialty intermediary of environmental and construction-related professional liability insurance coverages and risk management services. He had previously served as executive vice president and COO supervising the company’s day-to-day operations and business development efforts. Slivka will retain these responsibilities, while also concentrating on the development and growth of New Day’s national carrier network, marketing and producer training programs.
Jefferey S. Lejfer, CPCU, who is also one of the company’s founding members, will continue as CEO focusing his efforts on leading New Day into the future. He will directly manage New Day’s financial, accounting, marketing and technology practices as well as work jointly with Slivka to continually define the company’s strategic direction and accommodate ever-changing market and client requirements.
“The insurance industry is rapidly evolving,” says Lejfer. “Underwriting and brokering will undergo unprecedented changes over the next 10 years. These issues will require our focused attention with a special emphasis on senior-level carrier and client relationships. This is essential for maintaining our premier position with insureds, retail agents and carriers.”
“Jeff Slivka has played a significant role in our ongoing growth since inception. He is an integral part of this organization and possesses an unwavering commitment to customer and employee best interests. His strongest attribute is his dedication to the technical expertise on which our company was founded. Our goal is and always has been to be the premier resource in our marketplace. This includes constantly reinvigorating ourselves with new and expanded value-added services.”
“We specialize in simplifying the complex,” adds Slivka. “Our job is to have the answers even when clients don’t know the questions. This is performed through a consultative, collaborative and highly responsive and proactive process that separates our deliverables from the products of any other player. Everything we do is based on having the knowledge and the resources in place to provide unquestionably the best risk management solutions available in the marketplace today.”
Throughout his career, Slivka has dedicated his efforts to helping construction insurance industry leaders better understand the intricacies of these highly-specialized insurance products as a presenter at events such as IRMI, CFMA, AGC, MCA and others. He has also assisted over 50 percent of the Engineering News Record (ENR) Top 400 Construction firms to manage their environmental and/or professional liability risk.
Prior to joining New Day Underwriting Managers, Slivka spent over two decades as an environmental and professional liability underwriter, insurance broker and environmental consultant with several leading insurance providers and environmental consultants.
A resident of Fort Washington, PA., Slivka received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania and completed the professional designations of Associate in Risk Management (ARM) and Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS). He is a member of the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of America and participates in the National Risk Management forum, and is a regular speaker and author for the International Risk Management Institute (IRMI).
