Business Information & Media Summit Will Explore Millennials’ Impact on Media and Transformative Role in the Workplace
Conference Nov. 11-13 in Fort Lauderdale will Feature Keynote from Leading Expert on Youth Marketing, and Emerging Leader Awards
Washington, DC, November 05, 2015 --(PR.com)-- The Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA) – the principal trade association for the software and digital content industries – today announced that the Business Information & Media Summit (BIMS), taking place Nov. 11-13 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., will include a special focus on the role and impact of millennials in the workplace and media industry.
The conference will feature a keynote by MaryLeigh Bliss, Chief Content Officer of Ypulse, a youth marketing research firm. Bliss oversees Ypulse’s online content and trend reports, acting as a culture and youth insights expert. In her keynote, Bliss will examine how the millennial generation is transforming organizational culture and the workplace trends.
By 2050, millennials will represent 75 percent of the workforce. To celebrate the next generation of leadership in B2B media, content, and information, the first Emerging Leader Awards will be given to five rising stars under 35 years of age, to be presented annually. A total of 20 finalists have been identified by a screening panel of SIIA executives. The final award winners selected by the Women’s Leadership Council will be announced on Thursday, November 12, during BIMS.
The annual summit brings together top digital content and B2B media executives for intensive discussions around data, audience engagement, digital advertising sales, revenue-generating marketing and business strategy. In addition to Bliss, keynote speakers this year include:
· Robbie Kellman Baxter – Author of The Membership Economy and founder of Peninsula Strategies. Baxter’s keynote will examine how the smartest and most successful companies are using radically new membership models, subscription-based formats and freemium pricing structures to grow their customer base - and explode their market valuation - in the most disruptive shift in business since the Industrial Revolution.
· Peter Goldstone – Chief Executive Officer of Hanley Wood. Goldstone spearheads new and innovative opportunities for the company’s growth and oversees the company’s three operating platforms. His keynote will explore how a traditional media company can transition to a sophisticated data-driven business information organization.
Members of the media are invited to attend. For more information or to register for the conference, please contact Farrah Kim at farrahkim@rational360.com.
