San Antonio Cerveceros to Host 2015 Homebrew Festival & Competition
Celebrate “Learn to Homebrew Day” with Local Homebrewers and Craft Beer Lovers
San Antonio, TX, November 05, 2015 --(PR.com)-- The San Antonio Cerveceros will be hosting the 2015 San Antonio Homebrew Festival & Competition on Saturday, November 7th, 2015 from 10:00am – 4:00 pm. The event will be located at the Koehler Pavilion in Brackenridge Park, San Antonio, Texas. The annual event, formerly known as “Teach-A-Friend to Homebrew,” has been taking place on a smaller scale for several years. This year the event has grown significantly and will feature a great lineup of demonstrations, tastings, raffles, and the homebrew competition.
The Competition portion of the event will feature homebrew creations from 20 local San Antonio homebrewers. The judging will be “People’s Choice” with the attendees of the festival voting on their favorite homebrew. Sample-size tastings of the beers will be free.
There will also be several homebrew demonstrations presented by Cervecero members throughout the day, including: All Grain Brew Demonstration, Extract Brew Demonstration, Brew Kit Demonstration, and Soda Brewing Demonstration. These demonstrations are educational for all levels of homebrewers, from beginner to expert.
“This event is an excellent way to get involved in the homebrew and craft beer community in San Antonio,” said Mike Farringer, President of the San Antonio Cerveceros. “If you’re not into homebrewing already, you will definitely be interested in giving it a try after this festival!”
A raffle will also take place with some great prizes from sponsors, including: Southerleigh Fine Food & Brewery, Big Hops Growler Station, Mad Pecker Brewing Co., Beer Smarts TX, Home Brew Party, Alamo Brewery and much more. Raffle tickets will be on sale during the event for $5 each or 3 for $10. Raffle tickets will also be available prior to the November 7th event, during a Cerveceros Happy Hour at Mad Pecker Brewing on Wednesday, November 4th from 6:00pm-8:00pm. Proceeds to support the San Antonio Cerveceros.
Live music and food trucks will also be onsite. This event is for 21 and over only.
