Cascade Training Centers Awarded Official PHTLS Course Provider Status

Sacramento, CA, November 06, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Cascade Healthcare Services has been awarded status as an official training center to provide PreHospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) courses in all fifty U.S. states. This prestigious award, presented by The National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT), will allow Cascade to begin offering PHTLS courses in late October at their existing training centers in Washington, Oregon, California, and to accommodate Cascade’s growth strategy to other U.S. states.

PHTLS courses offer the leading source of continuing education to EMS professionals in prehospital emergency traumas. It was developed thirty years ago by the late Dr. Norman McSwain when he, NAEMT and the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma joined forces. The committee still provides direction for the PHTLS training programs. PHTLS training has been shown to improve the quality of care patients receive from EMS professionals during a trauma and provides EMS professionals with the knowledge to make reasoned decisions regarding patient care.

The PHTLS class will be added to Cascade Training Centers’ extensive roster of over twenty five other classes including the most basic required certifications for all clinicians to the most advanced of curriculums for specialized health care providers. The PHTLS course joins BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, NRP and many other advanced classes currently offered by Cascade. Cascade Training Center is the largest national provider of American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Courses.
