PODS® to Move Toys for One of the Biggest Charities in the U.S.
Moving and storage leader PODS, set to donate for a sixth year to help the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation.
Clearwater, FL, November 04, 2015 --(PR.com)-- PODS Enterprises, LLC announced their sixth year of working with the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots. Chief Marketing Officer, George Spowart, said PODS has once again committed to providing their container services in numerous markets in the United States during the 2015 holiday season. PODS provides containers to help move, store and distribute the toys for kids in need that are collected during holiday toy drives. In addition, this year PODS has joined together with another long-time national Toys for Tots partner, Toys R”Us®, for increased toy drives in select markets.
In 2014, PODS provided an estimated $380,000 worth of services and 516 containers to the U.S. Marine Corps toy drive across the United States.
“We’re incredibly thankful for our relationship with PODS,” said retired Marine Major Bill Grein, Vice President of the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. “With their generous logistical support, we saved hundreds of thousands of dollars that we were then able to redirect into additional toy purchases for kids. For each of the past five years PODS has been an instrumental part of our ability to fulfill the Christmas dreams of nearly seven million less fortunate children.”
Spowart said PODS is enthusiastic about working again with Toys for Tots in their local communities to bring joy to underserved children. “It is an honor to work with such a respected organization that has such a big impact on the lives of families in need,” says Spowart. “We are grateful to be able to help drive toy donations every year, and we look forward to doing so again in 2015.”
Since its inception 68 years ago, the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots program has distributed more than 494 million toys to 230 million less fortunate children across the United States who might not otherwise receive anything during the holiday season.
