Fisher & Phillips Announces Mayra Cuello Has Joined the Firm

Houston, TX, November 08, 2015 --(PR.com)-- The Houston office of Fisher & Phillips LLP, a management-side labor and employment law firm, announced today that Mayra Cuello has joined the firm as an associate attorney.

Cuello comes to Fisher & Phillips with five years of experience representing employers in all aspects of labor and employment matters in state and federal courts, including family and medical leave, retirement benefits, sex and age discrimination, and employees with disabilities.

Prior to joining Fisher & Phillips, Cuello worked for the City of Houston as an Assistant City Attorney, handling labor and employment matters for the City’s more than 20,000 employees. She was awarded the Edward A. Cazares Award for Excellence in Municipal Law in 2014 in recognition of her work.

Cuello started her law career working in the Houston offices of two nationally recognized firms. Before attending law school she was a high school teacher.

Cuello received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the Rice University and her law degree from the University of Texas. She is licensed to practice in Texas.
