BUA Cement Wins "Cement Brand of the Year" Award

Lagos, Nigeria, December 14, 2015 --(PR.com)-- BUA Cement, a leading cement manufacturer in Nigeria has been announced as the “Cement Brand of the Year 2015” at the 2015 Marketing World Awards in Lagos on Saturday, November 7, 2015 beating other major manufacturers including Lafarge and Dangote Cement to clinch the award. BUA Cement, a wholly owned subsidiary of BUA Group with factories in Obu, Edo state and Sokoto (through a majority stake in Cement Company of Northern Nigeria) is owned by BUA Group led by its Executive Chairman, Abdulsamad Rabiu.

According to Instinct Media, organisers of the Marketing World Awards, BUA Cement was given the award for its consistency in delivering superior product offerings as well as setting the pace for cement manufacturing in Nigeria. BUA Cement has also shown a very strong brand equity and leadership in its key markets and achieved a high perception of quality amongst users of cement in Nigeria.

BUA Cement currently operates cement manufacturing concerns across Nigeria as well as a 2million MTPA floating terminal, BUA Cement I. Its flagship 3.5 million MTPA Obu Cement Plant in Edo State was supplied by the world-renowned FLsmidth of Denmark with civil construction by Julius Berger. The company intends to increase its capacity to 10 million MTPA by 2017.
