The FiveTwo Network Receives Grant Funds from Thrivent Financial Foundation
The FiveTwo Network receives grant funds - Thrivent Financial Foundation to help church planting organization with capacity building initiative.
Katy, TX, November 12, 2015 --(PR.com)-- The FiveTwo Network, a Katy, Texas-based organization seeking to launch spiritual communities that create baptized followers of Jesus, has received a $33,000 immediate grant and a $30,000 two-to-one challenge grant opportunity from the Thrivent Financial Foundation, Minneapolis, Minn. The grants support the organization’s “FiveTwo Network Capacity Building Initiative” designed to fuel the organization’s earned income.
To obtain the full $30,000 challenge grant, the FiveTwo Network must raise a minimum of $60,000 from individual donors by Nov. 8, 2017.
“Once again, Thrivent demonstrates its love for seeing Jesus’ Church reach new people by starting new ministries. Thrivent’s support and generosity are a huge blessing during this building season, not just to FiveTwo but especially to Jesus’ Church-at-large,” said Bill Woolsey, Executive Director of the FiveTwo Network.
“We are delighted to assist the FiveTwo Network through this grant,” said Laurie Wilkinson, director of Church Relations at Thrivent Financial. “We trust that this funding will encourage even more people to become aware of and support the exciting church planting ministry that is taking place at this organization.”
The grant is part of the foundation’s Lutheran Grant Program. This program is designed to assist Lutheran organizations and those they serve in achieving economic security and sustainability.
Eligible grant applicants include: Lutheran congregations, regional divisions of the three largest church bodies, small church bodies, high schools, colleges, universities, seminaries, camps, campus ministries, social ministry organizations and other independent Lutheran organizations or institutions.
