Extensively refurbished throughout, rooms have been designed to reflect the owners’ interests in antiques and traditional furnishings - all in keeping with the character of a 19th century French country house. ‘Mourvedre’ is furnished with continental antiques from the 19th century and features a large antique Chinese screen; ‘Carignan’ is furnished with Art deco Chinoiserie and Thai silks and overlooks the 2 acre garden.
The garden has been extensively landscaped with Mediterranean shrubs and trees, and offers a colourful haven in which to relax after a day’s sightseeing. Close to Carcassonne, Le Domaine has easy access to tourist honeypots and is close to Mediterranean beaches. A large sun drenched swimming pool welcomes those who prefer less strenuous activities. Lunch can be provided on reservation.
Cuisine reflects the flavors of the South of France and is seasonal and fresh. Regional specialties are served and ingredients are sourced from local producers.
