Medical Imaging Innovations Completes First USA installation of FluoroSight ONE Universal R/F System in Tennessee
Medical Imaging Innovations completes installation of first installation of FluoroSight ONE Universal R/F System at Blount Memorial Hospital. The FluoroSight ONE provides all radiographic and fluoroscopic imaging in an all-in-one universal fluoroscopy system.
Boynton Beach, FL, November 16, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Medical Imaging Innovations, a privately held medical imaging company completed the first installation of its FluoroSight ONE Universal R/F System at Blount Memorial Hospital, a 314 bed level 3 trauma center in Maryville, TN.
The FluoroSight ONE is the only fully digital R/F system on the market today that has the ability to perform all diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures using only one flat panel detector (FPD) and one x-ray tube; no ceiling suspension, bucky stand or second flat-panel detector is required in order to perform routine radiographic exams. Boris Geyzer, General Manager for Medical Imaging Innovations notes: “The FluoroSight ONE allows a hospital to re-think the way it spends money on fluoroscopic equipment in the radiology department. With fluoroscopic procedure volumes declining, hospitals need to purchase capital equipment that are multi-purpose, able to be utilized 100% of the time, and provide excellent total cost of ownership.”
“It’s a very unique room that does things that other conventional rooms can’t,” says Ted Mashburn, Administrative Director of Radiology Services at Blount Memorial Hospital, adding: “we made it fit in a very limited space; we couldn’t use a conventional room because of our space requirements.”
Digital X-Ray Specialists, Inc. performed the sale and installation. Randel Atchley, President of DXSI exclaimed: “This was the smoothest and fastest installation we ever had for an R/F room in our team’s collective careers. This is one of the most unique product we have ever sold. The system moves around the patient, so the technologist can get their job done faster with less strain on their body from manually moving the system.”
The FluoroSight ONE specifications include a 500lbs capacity elevating and tilting table, variable SID (source to image distance) from 40” to 80”, and an open design that allows the flat panel detector to extend past the tabletop to be able to image directly onto the detector. Advanced automatic positioning with the ability to perform cross-table examinations, automatic scoliosis/long-leg stitching, and digital subtraction angiography (DSA) are key elements that allow the FluoroSight ONE to stay utilized throughout the day. “To do what we wanted to get done, it serves a multitude of purposes. We are tickled to death the way it turned out and are happy with it,” gushed Mashburn.
Medical Imaging Innovations will be displaying the FluoroSight ONE, along with several other unique breakthrough technologies at this year’s Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) meeting in Chicago, Illinois, from November 29th to December 3rd. MII will be in the South Hall of McCormick Place, Booth 3374.
