SmartCare Urgent Care to Open New Clinic in Midtown Atlanta
Atlanta, GA, November 19, 2015 --(PR.com)-- In early December, SmartCare Urgent Care, a company of urgent care centers serving the Atlanta to Athens area, will open their newest location in Midtown. The new clinic will be located at 450 14th Street NW just south of Atlantic Station.
SmartCare Urgent Care, a unique healthcare company, has clinics that are open 7 days a week always with a doctor on site. The Midtown location will be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
“We saw a need in Midtown and we want to provide our services,” said Zobair Nagamia, M.D., Chief Operating Officer for SmartCare. “We hope to become ingrained in part of the Midtown community and evolve with the changing needs of its members to provide exceptional healthcare.”
Over the last four years, the company has opened locations in Athens, Roswell, Decatur, Lawrenceville and Brookhaven. SmartCare emphasizes quality urgent and wellness care services targeted to the busy market it serves. Its spectrum of services include treatment for most minor injuries and illnesses from broken bones and lacerations to swimmer’s ear and upper respiratory tract infections.
With its new location in Midtown, SmartCare will be able to serve a variety of patients including Georgia Tech students, Home Park and Midtown Atlantic Station residents, as well as professionals who work in the metro Atlanta area.
Sene Sorrow, a member of the Home Park Community Improvement Association and 30 year resident of the area, says SmartCare will help fill Home Park’s gap in healthcare.
“I think having SmartCare in Home Park will give residents an immediate and reasonable option for taking immediate care of injuries and illnesses that might largely go without care or with delays in care,” Sorrow said. “The logistics of SmartCare located on 14th Street married with the breadth of services provided by SmartCare, makes the launch of SmartCare a welcomed addition to our growing offerings in Home Park.”
In addition to its injury and illness care, SmartCare offers wellness services including inexpensive flu vaccinations, B12 shots, physicals, blood glucose testing, immunizations and immediate digital X-ray and lab services.
SmartCare’s staff includes board certified physicians, physicians assistants and nurses. Walk in patients are welcome with no appointment. The facility will serve patients ages two and older and most insurances will be accepted. Affordable self-pay rates are also available.
Dr. Nagamia says the Midtown location will be a good fit for both the community and SmartCare.
“We started SmartCare when we realized there was a healthcare need for people in the community,” Dr. Nagamia said. “There wasn’t enough access for community members to go to when they needed immediate care. We created a place where you can get affordable high quality care with an emphasis on customer service, which has been lost in healthcare today.”
