Local Contractor Joins Campaign for Hunger Relief
Flat Rate Home Services Helps Donate Food for the Holidays to Feed Hungry Families in Wisconsin.
Milwaukee, WI, November 19, 2015 --(PR.com)-- For the second year in a row, as part of their Giving Back program, Flat Rate Home Services is teaming up with local businesses to sponsor "Stuff the Bus", a food drive started by 99.1FM to benefit Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin. In addition to sponsoring and donating 50 turkeys to this annual event, the plumbing, heating and cooling company will be donating an additional 50 turkeys through their website, www.flatratehomeservices.com.

For the past 16 years, the local radio station broadcasts live and urges their listeners to come donate food in effort to literally stuff a bus with non-perishable food items. This year's event will be held on Wednesday, November 25th from 6am-6pm at Pick 'N Save in Brookfield (15170 W. Greenfield). If you are unable to make this year's event, donations can be madeonline via 99.1FM or Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin's websites.
According to "Hunger in Our Community 2014", of those served by Feeding America, 74% of households chose between paying for food and paying for utilities, 67% of households chose between paying for food and paying for medicine or medical care and 67% of households chose between paying for food and paying their rent or mortgage.
"When I heard Feeding America's statistics on the people in our communities who are hungry, I was shocked. These are our neighbors - the ones who get up and go to work or school every day. It's our honor to help," added AJ.
In furtherance of their support of 99.1FM, Flat Rate Home Services has donated a 40 gallon, gas residential natural draft Bradford White water heater that will be available on the radio station's 'Get My Perks' page.
