Universal Pumping Inc. Installs Wastewater Pumps for City of Watertown, NY

Woodstock, GA, November 18, 2015 --(PR.com)-- The present wastewater plant in Watertown has been processing sludge for 35 years. The dewatering equipment includes 2 Edwards & Jones filter presses and 3 Willett Filter Press Feed Pumps.

In 2011, Universal Pumping supplied the plant with Replacement Filter Plates for the E & J filter presses along with replacement safety light curtains and replacement filter press parts.

In 2013, they replaced 1 of the Willett pumps with a EMS Ram Pump. The customer was extremely pleased with the quietness of the pumps operation and the improved efficiency.

In 2014, the plant elected to purchase a second EMS filter press pump and in 2015, they bought the third EMS High Pressure Sludge Pump to feed the presses.

Universal Filtration and Pumping Solutions will be offering a Totally Automatic Filter Press requiring no operator attention in 2016 and Watertown as well as many other Waste Water Plants worldwide will be interested in the new automatic filter press for the cost savings in operator staffing.
