InfoSec Skills Becomes ELCAS Cyber Security Learning Provider

London, United Kingdom, November 19, 2015 --(PR.com)-- InfoSec Skills (www.infosecskills.com) has been added to the register of approved learning providers for the Ministry of Defence's Enhanced Learning Credits Scheme (ELC). This allows UK military staff who are eligible for ELCAS credits to spend their grant on pursuance of a cyber security career, which can lead to professional certifications in security management, business continuity management, information security risk management, information security architectures, and intrusion analysis and digital forensics.

Terry Neal, InfoSec Skills’ CEO, said, “ELCAS provides a valuable lifeline for anyone leaving the UK armed forces, especially for those who are planning to resettle into industry after a career in the military. Our Cyber Career Academy enhances and accelerates the careers of existing cyber security professionals as well as rapidly accelerating the development of new entrants into the industry: something that is direly needed given the global shortage of trained cyber workers.”

InfoSec Skills’ faculty director added, “The inclusion of our courses on ELCAS’s register offers a fantastic career opportunity for anyone leaving the armed forces. The discipline and structure that working in military service affords people early in their careers sets them up well for a long and fruitful career in cyber. We are extremely proud to support the military heroes who are leaving public service to find their way in industry with our career academy. A career in cyber is challenging and rewarding and will ensure that new security professionals won’t get disillusioned with life outside the military.”

The entire catalogue of InfoSec Skills courses are available for eligible ELCAS grant holders and InfoSec Skills is happy to provide career advice and guidance on career paths to anyone who is interested in learning more.
