NSC Textiles Student Wins Award

Oswestry, United Kingdom, November 21, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Charelle Brown, a North Shropshire College (NSC) Textiles student has recently won an award and cash prize for her design work. She created a carnival inspired headdress that incorporated exotic feathers, flowers and butterflies in hot tropical colours. The headdress won the Student Bronze award at the Shrewsbury Drapers Company Textile Competition.

The Textiles Course Leader, Helen Furber, commented "Charelle’s work looks stunning and answered the brief perfectly; I am very pleased that the judges liked her work and very pleased that she came third, despite fierce competition from a large number of entries." Charelle is now completing the second year of NSC’s A Level Textiles and wishes to pursue Fashion and Textiles for a career after university.
