Thankfulness, in the Wake of Disaster

In the wake of environmental and man-made disasters, The Wright Scoop – Sylvia Hoehns Wright urges all to define their concept of thankfulness, in terms of a spiritual matter, an ongoing faith which creates a sense of abundance.

Glen Allen, VA, November 24, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Across the Nation, receding flood waters expose ravaged landscapes. Embers smolder in the wake of waves of forest fire flame; and, periodically National flags fly at half mass to honor those who once again are victims of senseless mass murder. Under such conditions is it feasible to think any one could or would communicate a sense of thankfulness? On the other hand, perhaps it is such events that require a perspective of thankfulness. For, thankfulness is a spiritual matter, an ongoing faith which creates a sense of abundance.

Thankfulness, a sense of abundance -
To explore the concept of thankfulness, the Wright Scoop is posting a series of blog articles which discuss the impact of individual and community, national and global, traditional and newly identified, man-made and environmental events which influence a sense of thankfulness. For, as Wright says “a sense of thankfulness can be acquired through self-appraisal. Through, simply answering the question, I feel thankful when - ---. When all is not right with my world, I dig in the dirt. It is the experience of connecting with living green in which I find solace, reduce the effect of life stress; and in fact, on occasion, not only contribute aesthetic beauty but harvest edible bounty – renew my sense of Thankfulness.”
