NSC and OCC Join Forces to Create Exciting Late Night Shopping Event
Oswestry, United Kingdom, November 25, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Business students from the Oswestry Campus of North Shropshire College (NSC), and the Oswestry Chamber of Commerce (OCC) have collaborated to bring an exciting late night Christmas shopping event to town on Friday 11th December – the Oswestry Christmas Retail Experience.
Neil Jenkins, owner and manager of Twelve Green Bottles has been mentoring the Level 2 Business students in his role as Vice Chair of the OCC.
The retail experience will support Oswestry retailers’ late night shopping evening with a host of festivities designed to make shopping fun throughout the town. Special family-focused entertainment includes a Santa’s grotto at the Guildhall, Bailey Head and a gift wrapping station in Bailey Street. Street food stalls, mulled wine, kids crafts and festive music will be held amid a dozen fairy-lit stalls throughout the town.
Neil commented, "This event is really important for small local businesses in Oswestry, the late night shopping event will give them the opportunity to shine and show off what is best about shopping in Oswestry. Oswestry Chamber feel that this event is a fantastic opportunity for the students to demonstrate their valuable skills and gives them the opportunity to showcase themselves, it would be impossible to stage the event without the enormous creative input provided by NSC’s students through [their start-up consultancy] NEST."
Business Lecturer, Sarah Probert said, "NSC’s Business Students and NEST are proud to be supporting this event supporting and promoting Oswestry’s retailers. I’d like to thank Neil Jenkins, of Twelve Green Bottles, and my students for their hard work and dedication. I am sure that with the support of the retail community and Oswestry shoppers, this Christmas Retail Experience will become a regular feature."
