A special prix fixe dinner will be served, the band Aja Vu will perform the music of Steely Dan and Chicago, and you’ll receive complimentary champagne to toast 2016. This New Year’s Eve prix fixe dinner starts with a Baby Green Salad, followed by your choice of Herb-Crusted Prime Rib, Cajun Roasted Half-Chicken, or Roasted Butternut Squash with Vanilla Bean Grits , and ends with a Chocolate Bundt Cake topped with fresh raspberry purée and Kahlúa whipped cream.

Chef Gator dishes out his signature California-Cajun fare and expands his following at Fenix in San Rafael. He earned the nickname “Gator” after wrestling an alligator in New Orleans. After training under the wing of Chef Paul Bertolli at Oliveto, he made a name for himself as the chef and owner of Alcatraces in Noe Valley, where he crafted a California-Cajun menu. Chef Gator prepares his menu items from fresh, local ingredients, crafting culinary offerings infused with Southern charm. Crowned 2015 “King of the Que” at the San Rafael Great American Blues & BBQ Festival, the approachable and outgoing chef enjoys entertaining guests with stories about his food and the familial history that goes with it.
