Sheri Lynn Francis Releases First Novel Starring Immortal Hero
Dog Ear Publishing reviews a classic tale of an innocent who turns to the dark side, only to hope that he can return to the light.
Jacksonville, FL, December 02, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Nichol has been 32 years old for the last 400 years. With his curly black hair and blue eyes, he is effortlessly handsome. He lived as an innocent in 16th century Russia until he and his sweetheart were brutally attacked and he was turned into a vampire. Anger and pain drive him in a quest to commit vile crimes and think of himself as cursed. But sometimes, as this new novel released by Dog Ear Publishing reveals, redemption is possible.
Set in Whitechapel London, the age of pirates in the West Indies, Hundred Years War and modern times, “Damaged” tells the story of a vampire who begins to wonder if a damaged spirit can regain his soul. A fellow vampiress guides the new immortal to a different path, and he is also helped by his guardian Lucita, a pagan witch who cares for Nichol, and Bishop, a surfer computer hacker who serves as his business associate.
Nichol uses his thirst for blood to eliminate those who harm the innocent, smelling the evil coming from his victims like vintage wine. A friend and lover is put in danger by the very person who should have been most protective of her, and it’s up to Nichol to redeem himself to remove the threat. The passionate novel reveals a conflicted hero who must face his own demons if he is to have a hope of recovering his soul.
Sheri Lynn Francis has a degree in microbiology and a doctorate in science from the University of Florida. She writes and works as a scientist. Francis was passionate about reading while growing up in New York. The Florida resident has written several short stories and poems, although this is her first novel.
