Bellevue-Based Social Purpose Corporation Seeks to Transform the Recruitment of Our American Heroes
Bellevue, WA, November 30, 2015 --(PR.com)-- The Veteran Services Organization (VSO), today announced a new suite of services dedicated to identifying and nurturing exceptional talent within the Veteran community for civilian employment and their ultimate placement with leading organizations.
“Our continuing mission is to give back to our Military and Veteran Community,” said Steve Buth, President of the VSO. “We are now providing free resume services, career advice, preparing veteran for interviews and translating Military skills into the job’s market. Simultaneously, we are working with companies and organizations through the hiring process providing them support and insights to ensure they have the best pool of talent for their placement needs.”
Buth’s devotion to helping Veterans spans more than 20 years. Growing up in a Military family but being unable to serve himself, his career has centered on leading companies whose success was founded on close relationship with the Military and major commercial enterprises including government contractors. In doing so, he saw firsthand how leaving the Military was, and continues to be a tough proposition for any Veteran who has had little to no experience seeking a career in the outside world.
Perhaps more importantly and so often overlooked, he came to truly understand how the transition to civilian life profoundly affected veteran families who have to endure a sudden change in lifestyle, schooling, community and location. And while there are many well-intentioned corporate employers, the process they use to seek out and qualify Veteran talent varies widely and is difficult for veterans to navigate.
The VSO’s objective is to bridge this significant gap. “Our team is made up of people with strong Military and business backgrounds. We are all personally and emotionally connected and committed to doing the right thing for our Veterans. It’s our passion,” said Buth. “That’s why our services to the Veteran Community, individual Veterans and their family members will always be free of charge.”
As the VSO proceeds, its plan is to expand Veteran relations nationally and grow its partner network with companies large and small. In addition, the Organization is committed to expanding its range of specialty services for both Veterans and companies alike, enhancing engagement and inter-relationship while streamlining the talent matching process.
