Don-Go: the First Smart Device That Prevents Babies’ Deaths Due to Heatstroke
Incredibly, even the best parents can unconsciously forget their child alone in the car, without realizing it. This is the reason why Don-Go have developed an innovative and accessible solution to this problem.
Los Angeles, CA, December 03, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Don-Go is the first wireless device that assists parents during their daily routine and prevents them from involuntarily leaving their babies behind in cars. The project has been developed by three Italian guys, Claudio Cuccovillo, Benedetta Caputi and Luisa Ferri. In order to prevent these tragedies, they have created an innovative, user-friendly and affordable solution with a unique Made in Italy design.
Today Don-Go has been launched on Indiegogo, with the goal of $20,000 within 28 days. In fact, at the moment the product is still a prototype and the aim of the campaign is to raise money in order to complete the product development and start the manufacturing process.
Don-Go works in a very simple and intuitive way: a sensor is placed under the baby seat and works with an app that parents have to download. Once it senses that the parent is no longer in the car while the baby is still sitting there, the app will automatically send a warning to the parent’s smartphone. Further, it is possible to purchase it on Indiegogo just for $59.
It seems impossible that parents can leave their babies in cars and forget about them, but it does happen and keeps on happening. As David Diamond has declared in the Gene Weingarten interview for Washington Post "Memory is a machine and is not flawless. If you are capable of forgetting your cellphone, you are potentially capable of forgetting your child."
It’s important to create a solution and not avoid the problem. That’s why it’s fundamental to create safety devices that can prevent these kind of tragedies and to support this campaign.
