Chapel Hill Magazine's Readers Names Keith Shaw Best Architect in Chapel Hill for 2015

Durham, NC, December 04, 2015 --(PR.com)-- For the second year in a row, Chapel Hill Magazine’s readers voted Keith Shaw, AIA, principal and founder of Shaw Design Associates, Best Architect in Chapel Hill in the publication’s 2015 Best Of Chapel Hill Awards program. Shaw received the top Platinum award, followed by Szostak Design (Gold), Hobbs Architects (Silver), and Dail Dixon, FAIA, (Bronze).

A graduate of Andrews University in Berrien Springs, MI, Keith Shaw founded his firm in 1995. Almost immediately he began working with the Governors Club, a private, gated, golf community that spreads over 1600 acres atop Edwards Mountain in Chatham County. He is a member of the Governors Club Custom Home Program, a team of professionals, including architects, builders and landscape architects, who have designed and built the vast majority of homes there for 20 years. Shaw’s firm has completed over 70 custom estate homes in Governors Club, 100 for-sale homes, and over 80 renovations.

Shaw also serves as the Governors Club’s consultant to help homeowners uncover the best aspects and assets of each site and determine the best location and orientation for the home on the site. He also suggests architectural forms and styles to complement the individual lot.

Named a Governor’s Club Member of Distinction in 2002, Keith Shaw received the Governors Club’s Customer Satisfaction Award in 2003, a Team Project Award and Architectural Design Award in 2004, Architect of the Year for the Wager Residence in 2007, and Architect of the Year for the Levin/Westfall Residence in 2008. Chapel Hill Magazine’s readers first voted his firm Best Architect in Chapel Hill in 2014.
