The City of Los Angeles and LAPD Present Certificates of Appreciation to the L. Ron Hubbard Theatre
L. Ron Hubbard Theatre recognized by LA City Council Members Mitch O'Farrell and David Ryu as well as LA Police Captain Pete Zarcone with special certificates of recognition delivered during the Hollywood Christmas Parade.
Hollywood, CA, December 03, 2015 --(PR.com)-- The L. Ron Hubbard Theatre has served as the green room for the Hollywood Christmas Parade for five years and for this reason the LA City Council and LA Police Department each recognized the Theatre for its community dedication in helping make the parade the success story it has become.
Los Angeles City Council members Mitch O’Farrell (CD 13), David Ryu (CD 4) and City Controller Ron Galperin presented a Certificate of Appreciation on behalf of the City of Los Angeles to John Goodwin representing the L. Ron Hubbard Theatre. The certificate read, “We would like to extend our sincere appreciation for your tenacity and hard work in bringing the 2015 Hollywood Christmas Parade to life. Now in its 84th year, this annual tradition brightens the holiday season for countless families across the region. Thank you for your dedication to our community, and for being an angel in the City of Angels!”
And, in front of L. Ron Hubbard’s 1948 badge as a Special Officer of the LAPD, Capt. Peter Zarcone of the Hollywood Division presented a Certificate of Appreciation to the L. Ron Hubbard Theatre, recognizing its participation and contribution to the annual Hollywood Christmas Parade and dedication to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The L. Ron Hubbard Theatre, official parade green room for all celebrities and organizer of the over 700 volunteers for the parade, along with over 30 local Hollywood businesses, have donated over $100,000 in food and services to contribute to the success of this year’s parade.
In total, this year’s parade contained 19 musical and magic performers, 91 Celebrities and VIPS, 15 Award Winning Bands from around the world, 6 Equestrian Units, 18 Giant Balloons, 54 Characters and Novelties, 5 Floats and 6 live performances. The parade was kicked off by a musical pre-parade show on Hollywood Blvd, in front of the Dolby Theatre, location of the Academy Awards, and featured American Idol stars Clay Aiken, Diana DeGarmo, Ace Young, Taylor Hicks and Ruben Studdard, along with the unique Band of Merry Makers, a gathering of well-known musicians including Mark McGrath, Alex & Sierra and Charles Kelly of Lady Anabellum.
The 2015 Hollywood Christmas Parade will air on December 11th, 2015 at 8pm on The CW Network.
The L. Ron Hubbard Theatre has been open since 1997 and showcases the fiction works of L. Ron Hubbard in a modern-day environment with Hollywood actors where the entire family can experience LA live theater up close and mingle with the actors afterwards.
