Dr. Lisa Roberts Contributes Chapter to Atlas of Laparoscopic & Hysteroscopic Techniques for Gynecologists

(www.glsi.info), has announced that Dr. Lisa Roberts, president and CEO of the practice, has contributed a chapter entitled “Laparoscopic Instrumentation” to the third edition of the textbook Atlas of Laparoscopic & Hysteroscopic Techniques for Gynecologists, edited by Dr. Togas Tulandi. The textbook provides a practical step-by-step guide to all the laparoscopic and hysteroscopic procedures performed by gynecologists, with each procedure described in detail and fully illustrated with color photographs. The potential complications are described, and the circumstances in which a procedure is contraindicated are examined. The third edition has been expanded and updated to include new chapters on the latest advances in the field by the world’s leading experts.

Dr. Bajzak was trained and certified in obstetrics and gynecology in Canada, where she completed medical school, residency training and a Master of Science degree in epidemiology at Memorial University of Newfoundland. Dr. Bajzak also completed a fellowship in Gynecologic Laparoscopy at the Center for Women’s Care in Atlanta, Ga. under Dr. Thomas Lyons, one of the most highly skilled laparoscopic surgeons of our time. Dr. Barbee, who attended medical school at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine, where she also received a master’s degree in public health. She completed her OB/GYN residency at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Cornell in New York City.
