An Intimate Charity Event Kicks Off the Festive Season at Vana Belle
As part of a concerted effort to support local children’s charities, Vana Belle, a Luxury Collection Resort, Koh Samui hosted a Christmas Tree lighting Ceremony on Saturday, Nov 28, 2015, with donations going to the Sisters on Samui and the various children’s projects they support.

As part of a concerted effort to support local children’s charities, Vana Belle, a Luxury Collection Resort, Koh Samui hosted a Christmas Tree lighting Ceremony on Saturday, Nov 28, 2015, with donations going to the Sisters on Samui and the various children’s projects they support.
The memorable occasion was well attended by local residents and guests of the hotel who sampled indelible Christmas fare with a unique version of Christmas Afternoon Tea and Gluehwein (Mulled Wine). The true spirit of Christmas was encapsulated with festive carols sung by the talented children of Wat Saket Primary School in Lipa Noi, a passing visit from Santa Claus and a lucky draw with some exceptional prizes provided by Vana Belle. The total raised for the Sisters on Samui was Thai Baht 19,760.
“We are delighted to continue supporting the Special Needs School in Koh Samui,” said Bruce Humphry, General Manager at Vana Belle. “Alongside the other Starwood properties in Koh Samui, we also donated proceeds from the Run to Give charity fun-run in October to the school, so we know that the money will be well spent to best provide for the students there.”
The iconic hilltop Lobby Lounge at Vana Belle provided an enchanting setting for this longstanding Christmas tradition with panoramic ocean views replacing the usual winter scene. In keeping with their concept of providing personalized experiences over the festive season, Vana Belle will offer Indelible 5-course Set Menus on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day starting from THB 2,900++ per person. With Chaweng Noi Beach providing an alluring setting for a gastronomic exploration of festive fare, guests can choose to dine al fresco at Panali, right on the ivory white sands or in the opulent air-conditioned surroundings of Kiree restaurant. The classic Saturday Brunch at Vana Belle, which launched earlier in the year, will add a festive twist on Boxing Day with special Christmas Trimmings adding to the extensive variety of culinary delights on the buffet and ala carte menus.
