Welspun Renewables Commissions 126 MW Pratapgarh Wind Project

Mumbai, India, December 09, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Welspun Renewables, one of India’s leading clean energy companies, announced commissioning of its 126 MW wind project located in Pratapgarh district of Rajasthan. The project is the largest wind project in the company’s portfolio. The project will generate 290 million units of clean energy and help mitigate 2,11,922 tonnes of carbon emissions annually. INR 840 crores was secured to build this mega wind capacity.

Welspun Renewables has successfully developed all its projects well before their scheduled deadlines and at a lower cost ratio as compared to other developers in the clean energy sector. The company has successfully commissioned approx 700 MW (DC) capacity of clean energy projects across the country till date.

In line with the government’s renewable energy initiatives, Welspun Renewables is well on target to commission 1 GW of solar and wind power projects by the end of this financial year. We are currently present in 10 states across India.
