Christmas Event Benefits Homeless Youth Shelter
The Bravo Foundation is hosting its 1st Annual Adopt a Youth Homeless Shelter Event. The benefiting shelter is Matrix Human Services, Matrix Off The Street Shelter.
Southfield, MI, December 09, 2015 --(PR.com)-- On Christmas Day, The Bravo Foundation will provide residents at Matrix Off The Street Shelter a holiday meal, a visit from Santa, toys for children, games, gift bags, toiletries, clothing, journals, and so much more!
The Bravo Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that seeks to assist the at-risk, underprivileged and homeless women in Detroit with obtaining employment as an entry-level professional by providing education and career training, internships, and job placement.
Matrix Off The Streets (MOTS) (est 1986) Provides voluntary crisis intervention and supports to families and youth. Shelter and Transitional Living services include safe stay, counseling, case management, transportation to and from school, life skills and opportunities for recreation. Non-residential, Street Outreach and other prevention-oriented supports are also available. Matrix Off The Streets offers services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to youth who are runaways, potential runaways, homeless or facing possible at-risk and crisis situations.
Both organization's collective mission is to break the cycle of poverty. There are almost 9000 homeless youth in Detroit. This annual event will provide these youth will essential clothing and personal care items.
